Adventures of Nini 2012 Part 1

Do you have an Elf on the Shelf?

We got one last year and it was a lot of fun. The kids named him Nini. This year he arrived on December 1... before he came Will saw boxes of them at Target and was all excited and exclaiming, "Nini! Nini!" so I knew he'd be into all the shenanigans this year.

And I was right. The kids have LOVED having him around. Both are excited to find him each morning. Since they watch his movie nearly every day (or several times a day) they totally get the whole NO TOUCHING thing. It hasn't been a problem at all.

Before Nini arrived I was sure he had a plan for every day he was here so that it wasn't midnight and I'm freaking out on what he was going to do. Thank you Pinterest for some ideas!

Here is the first half of Nini's Adventures at our home for 2012.

Nini's Arrival... with magic beans and a note
we planted the beans in sugar and the next morning we had cookies which Nini also seemed to enjoy
Nini replaced all the lights in our chandilier with red and green Christmas bulbs - William LOVED it
Peeking above our TV
he turned our milk PINK and was actually sitting above our fridge
Resting in a stocking
riding on the toy car
listening to music on the iPod
sitting in the Christmas tree
adding himself to the Nativity
Nini and Mr. Army Man (who Lana called Uncle Mike) having a mini marshmellow fight
Nini brings a special treat from the North Pole
Canoodling with the Angel atop the tree
(the kids say they are hugging)

This has been so much fun! I can't wait to share what he does at our home until Christmas day!
